HomeWhat We DoSocial Media Marketing

Social media marketing · New York

Posting every day is not a strategy.

Most businesses don't need more posts. They need fewer, better ones, made for the two channels their customers actually use, tied to something that makes money. We run social like a system, not a hamster wheel.

One idea, adapted per platform. Tap through to see the same announcement rewritten for each one, because copy-pasting it everywhere is why nobody engages.

Why it changes

The problem

Everyone's busy. Nobody's buying.

The usual arrangement: an agency posts five times a week on four platforms, sends a monthly report full of impressions, and nobody can point to a single customer who came from it. The account grows. The business doesn't.

Meanwhile the posts that actually work, the ones from the owner, filmed on a phone, with something real to say, get made whenever somebody remembers.

We fix the second problem and stop pretending the first one is working.

The content engine

What a month actually looks like.

Pick a posting rhythm and the channels you care about. The calendar fills with a real mix, because "post daily" means nothing until somebody decides what goes in each slot.

An illustration of a rhythm, not your plan. Yours comes out of the audit, and it starts smaller than most people expect.

Channels

Where you should be, and where you shouldn't.

Being on every platform is how small teams end up doing all of them badly. Here's the short version of who each one is for.

Instagram

Best for: hospitality, retail, trades, anything visual or local.

Reels reach new people, the grid reassures them once they land. Stories do the day-to-day and keep regulars warm.

Skip it if: your buyers are procurement managers and your product photographs like a spreadsheet.

LinkedIn

Best for: B2B, professional services, recruiting, high-value sales.

The only network where a detailed post about a boring industry problem outperforms a polished ad. Written by a person, not a brand account.

Skip it if: you sell to consumers on impulse. Nobody buys a bagel from LinkedIn.

TikTok

Best for: reaching people who have never heard of you, fast.

Still the cheapest reach available if you can make things that don't look like advertising. Demands volume and a tolerance for looking unpolished.

Skip it if: nobody internally will get on camera. It does not work without faces.

Facebook

Best for: local businesses, events, community, older demographics.

Quietly the best place for neighbourhood businesses. Groups, events and reviews do more work than the feed does.

Skip it if: your audience is under 25 and you're only posting to look present.

YouTube

Best for: explaining things, and being found for years afterwards.

The one channel where a video keeps earning long after you post it. Shorts for reach, longer pieces for trust and search.

Skip it if: you can't commit to a cadence. One video a quarter builds nothing.

Email & SMS

Best for: the audience you already own.

Not technically social, and usually the highest return of anything on this page. We'll almost always suggest you fix this before adding a channel.

Skip it if: you have no list and no plan to build one, which is itself the first problem.

Reporting

Numbers that mean something, and numbers that flatter.

Most social reports are built to look impressive. Flip the switch and compare what usually gets reported with what we put in front of you.

Your numbers fill the brackets. We'd rather show you the shape of the report than invent results we haven't earned.

Ground rules

Things we won't do with your account.

Some of these are common enough that agencies sell them as features. They buy a number today and cost you reach, or your reputation, later.

Ask us why →
  • Buy followers or likes, ever
  • Join engagement pods to game the feed
  • Run giveaways that attract people who only want the prize
  • Post generic AI captions under a stock photo
  • Copy one post to five platforms and call it a campaign
  • Chase a trend that has nothing to do with your business
  • Report impressions as though they were customers
  • Hold your accounts hostage. They're yours, in your name

How it goes

Six steps, and month one is mostly listening.

Any agency that starts posting in week one is guessing. We'd rather spend that time learning what your customers respond to.

Pricing

Monthly, and cancellable.

Thirty days' notice, always. An agency that needs a year-long contract to keep you is telling you something.

Ad spend is always billed by the platform, directly to you. We never mark it up, and you keep the ad account.
